Bingos fund a significant portion of the veterinary
costs for our foster ferrets; they bring in
thousands of dollars for FRES ferrets every year.
But we simply can't continue to do Bingos with the
handful of Bingo volunteers that we have. Each
afternoon bingo requires 10-12 volunteers and 14-15
volunteers for evening bingos. Without this
many volunteers, FRES cannot run the bingo. Without
the bingos, our foster program suffers. We
need you!
Volunteering is easy!
No experience necessary!
Anyone 18 years or older can volunteer; you don't
have to be a FRES member!
No long-term commitment; even volunteering at just
one Bingo will help tremendously!
Meet and have a great time with other volunteers who
share your same interests!

Volunteer Positions
The list
below is a brief summary of the duties for
each
position. These positions can be easily
learned by volunteers, and is better done so at the
time of the event.
Chairperson
- Must be a FRES member

Ensure
volunteers sign attendance form before starting
their shift
- Verify, record and sign for the cash floats and
cards
- Transfer and verify cash and cards to and from the
paymaster, cashier and
controller
- Ensure financial/inventory control system forms
are completed
- Prepare cash in sealed bank deposit
- Ensure rules are followed regarding prize payment
and advise AGLC of any cheating
or other problems
Paymaster
- Must be a FRES member
- Verify and record all cash transfers to and from
paid staff and volunteers
- Transfer cash prizes for each game to
sellers/verifiers/money runner to award to the
winners
- Record all prize payouts
Bonanza/Special Games Controller
- Must be a FRES member
- Supervise card sales for Bonanza and Special Games
- Verify and record the float and number of cards
- Issue cards and floats to sellers, verify cash and
cards returned from sellers and
record on appropriate inventory control
- Balance cash and card and ensure winners are paid
correctly
Sellers/Verifiers
- Count and sign for a
cash float and cards
- Sell cards to players
- Return and verify cash and unsold cards to the
controller
- Verify declared bingo winners using a 2-way radio
with bingo caller
- Ensure winners receive the correct prize from
paymaster/money runner
Satellite Game Controller
- Must be a FRES
member
- Count and sign for all cards received from
chairperson and hall advisor
- Ensure all sellers verify and record cash and
cards received
- Verify, record and enter the cash float received
onto computer
- Count, balance and record all cash, float and
unsold cards returned by each seller
Money Runner

Transport prize and prize receipt from paymaster to
winner
